Support P.A.V.E.®

Thank you for your interest in showing your support. P.A.V.E.® is a national, not-for-profit, grassroots organization founded by parents and teachers with children in their homes and classrooms who had suffered the effects of undiagnosed vision problems. Our mission is to raise public awareness of the crucial relationship between vision and achievement.

How can you help?

We depend on memberships and donations to fund our national effort to raise national awareness and assist the thousands of parents and other individuals who contact P.A.V.E.® each year. However, there are several ways that you can help not only P.A.V.E.®, but children with vision related learning difficulties everywhere.

Membership

You are invited to become part of the membership of P.A.V.E.® by contacting the P.A.V.E.® National Office for information about membership.

We also encourage you to invite your family optometrist to become a member of P.A.V.E.®. Currently there are over 100 Behavioral Optometrists already members.

We will soon be making a membership application available on our site for your convenience.

Start a P.A.V.E.® Chapter in your Community

Starting a local P.A.V.E.® Chapter in your community is a great way to raise awareness about the relationship between vision and learning right in your own backyard. The more schools and professionals in your area are acquainted with treatment options that can alleviate visual problems, the easier it is to raise awareness of legislators, insurance companies and school districts. If you are interested in forming a P.A.V.E.® Chapter in your community, please email a request for a chapter inquiry packet by clicking here.

P.A.V.E.® endorses, "The Vision Connection" for schools and homes.

"The Vision Connection" is an educational program to teach children, teachers and parents about visual, auditory and vestibular skills. It includes a pre and post screening battery to help identify children with problems in 12 skill areas. Brain Gym activities are also included to help children learn to focus their attention and recapture attention when distracted. A portion of all proceeds from The Vision Connection are donated to P.A.V.E.® to assist in raising public awareness about this critical issue.

"The Vision Connection" helps screen children with visual problems and gives parents and teachers activities to help at home. It does NOT, however, correct clinical visual efficiency and visual perception problems. P.A.V.E.® recommends a developmental evaluation for every child beginning school and at anytime symptoms are present.
